UAW Local 2322 endorses Holyoke citizen's demands for public input on sewage privatization plan.
UAW Local 2322 is located in Holyoke, MA and represents approximately 50
members and their families who reside in Holyoke. The UAW Western MA Community Action Program (CAP) has voted to endorse Holyoke Citizens for Open Government and urges UAW members to oppose increases in rates until we know what we're paying for!
We demand the following:
1) Extend the deadline for public comment by six weeks after the full final
contract is available to the public
2) Make copies of the full final contract available at City Hall, the Holyoke
Public Library and on the city's webpage
3) Mail postcards to all ratepayers informing them about 1 & 2 above
4) Set a date for an open hearing for public comment and questions
The CAP’s endorsement of the group includes a commitment to distribute the
group's literature to our Holyoke members, announce the meetings in
any of our communications with members and circulate the petition among other things.
